Adrien answered the phone immediately.
“Talk,” he said coldly.
On the other end, his senior executive sounded nervous.

Adrien’s eyes narrowed.
“Who?”
There was a pause. The kind of pause that meant the truth was dangerous.
Before the man could finish speaking, Adrien suddenly heard something strange through the phone — loud shouting and the sound of a car horn blaring.
“Sir? Sir, are you still there?” the voice asked.
But Adrien never replied.
Because at that exact moment, the driver lost control of the car.
The road near the old city bridge was wet from rain. A truck ahead had suddenly stopped, forcing the driver to swerve. The car spun violently across the road.
“Watch out!” the driver shouted.
The car slammed into the bridge railing.

The metal barrier bent under the impact, and half of the car broke through it.
Adrien was thrown forward as the door burst open.
